Welcome to the calm side of the Cape. Sesuit Harbor House is ideally located just minutes down the road from the most beautiful, pristine bayside beaches on Cape Cod Bay. Known for their gentle, warm waters, panoramic sunset views, and incredible dramatic low tides, these beaches are perfect for families, beachcombers, and sunbathers alike.

Here is everything you need to know about our favorite local bayside spots right down the street:

Harborview Beach: 

Small and Sweet. Our neighborhood beach is about a mile from SHH. Within walking distance, it offers lots to look at and is framed by Sesuit Harbor’s jetty.

Cold Storage & Sea St. Beach: 

Distance from the Inn: 3 minutes (approx. 1.2 miles — our closest neighbor!)

  • The Vibe: A peaceful, quieter alternative to the larger public beaches. Located right on the east side of Sesuit Harbor, you can relax on the soft sand and watch the boats and luxury yachts cruise in and out of the jetty.

  • Amenities: Paved parking lot (Dennis Beach sticker required), seasonal lifeguards, and portable restrooms.

Mayflower Beach:

  • Distance from the Inn: 8 minutes (approx. 3.5 miles)

  • The Vibe: World-famous for its endless expanse of white sand. At low tide, the water recedes for miles, creating a massive boardwalk of tidal pools, shallow sandbars, and the absolute best sunset strolls on the Mid-Cape.

  • Amenities: Boardwalk access to the beach, restrooms, seasonal lifeguards, and paid public parking.

Corporation Beach:

  • Distance from the Inn: 5 minutes (approx. 2.5 miles)

  • The Vibe: The ultimate family favorite. Formed in a crescent shape along Nobscusset Point, it offers incredibly calm waters and low-surf swimming.

  • Amenities: Large paved parking lot, seasonal concession stand (The Snack Shack), public restrooms, outdoor showers, and a playground for children.

Chapin Beach: 

  • Distance from the Inn: 10 minutes (approx. 4.5 miles)

  • The Vibe: Wild, open, and rugged. Located furthest west, Chapin Beach faces the open bay and features beautiful rolling sand dunes. At low tide, you can practically walk all the way across to the flats of Brewster.

  • Amenities: Lifeguards and portable restrooms. It is also a popular spot for four-wheel-drive vehicles (with a special local permit).

Local Beach Parking & Sticker Tip for Guests

To ensure our guests have a seamless beach day, please keep these local regulations in mind:

  • Seasonal Dates: Beach stickers or daily parking passes are typically required from late June through Labor Day.

  • Daily Passes: Daily parking passes can be purchased directly at the gate for popular spots like Corporation Beach and Mayflower Beach.
